Details

Polytek TinSil® 80 - 30 RTV Silicone Rubber is a top - notch, condensation - cure, tin - catalyzed flexible mold rubber. It's crafted for applications needing low shrinkage during curing and long - lasting cured molds. This rubber comes in two parts: a liquid Part B base and Part A accelerator. When you mix them at the right weight ratio, it cures at room temperature into a rubber with great tear resistance. TinSil 80 - 30 molds offer easy release and can withstand high temperatures. They're perfect for casting polyesters, epoxy and polyurethane resins, waxes, and many other materials. Just like other Polytek® elastomers, the last two digits in the product name show the approximate Shore A hardness of the cured rubber. Key resources include the TinSil® 80 - Series Technical Bulletin, Physical Properties Bulletin, Safety Data Sheets, and a Food - Related Applications Technical Bulletin.

To use Polytek TinSil 80 - 30 Silicone Rubber, first, make sure you have the liquid Part B base and Part A accelerator. Measure them by weight at the correct ratio and mix them well. Then, pour the mixture into your mold. It will cure at room temperature. When casting materials like polyesters or waxes, you'll find the mold has easy release properties. Just gently remove your cast piece once it's ready. Be careful when handling the rubber and its components. Always refer to the Safety Data Sheet. For maintenance, store the rubber in a cool, dry place to keep it in good condition. And remember, the cured mold has a long life, but avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures for long periods.
